Information Technology investment decisions were problematic enough when funding was more readily available. Now as Third Sector organisations come under greater financial pressure the approach to developing an IT strategy for the short medium and long term can be fraught with difficulty.

This session covers the problems that face decision makers in the Third Sector with regard to ICT strategy and examines some of the options that are available including :

Outsourcing the advantages and disadvantages
Cloud Services versus on premise systems
Approaches to software upgrades "Sweating your Assets"
Managing support and maintenance contracts
Evaluating new technologies
Speaking at this session will be Denis O'Hara who is an ICT consultant with over 30 years' experience in the industry and provides IT strategy advice to clients in the Third and private sectors.
